Gods Plan

Which path will YOU choose?

Gods Plan

When it comes to how much of your future was planned by God there is a lot of debate. Among the webmasters of this website there could be a debate which would not only not be helpful, it would be damaging to the cause of the gospel and we could be accused of being controversial for the sake of being controversial.

But no Christian can argue that God does not have a plan for each and everyones life - even if you are not a Christian. That much is evident - many Christians spend years trying to work out what God has had planned for them. In the end the answer is often to move on from where you have been standing for the past few years and serve God. There are many books and helpful stories been written about how to Find Gods Plan in your life so we will not be going into that today! I would though, like to take this chance to encourage you to inquire as to what Gods plan in your life is - look to God for all things.

The plan we want to talk about today is Gods plan of Salvation and an amazing plan it is too! What God has planned, and what has happened in history as a part of this huge plan of salvation that God ordained!

So where do we start? Well it has been said in the past that the best place to start is the beginning. So lets have a look at Ephesians Ch 1 v 4-5:

"For he chose us, in him, before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ in accordance with his pleasure and will."

What this verse is talking about is debatable but one thing that is not able to be legitimatly debated about is that this verse is proof of Gods planning before the earth began. We have a page on here that hopefully, you will have already read; it talks about what was there before the beginning. But then there is one other thing to add here, and that is that God was there, and was planning - planning the worlds salvation! That was the beginning- eternity! Before God made the world, He had planned salvation!

Here is something that will shock you! Sin is ultimately to the Glory of God. Let me explain: God hates sin and the Devil loves it and tries to discredit God, but in the end the devil will fail because sin glorifies God! Think about it very carefully; Gods marvellous plan of salvation means that on the last day, the ones he has saved and forgiven will go to Heaven. God saved us, not because we deserved to be saved, but because God is good! Then there is Hell; not talked about much is it? Well lets talk about Hell; Hell is truly incredible and just! Hell glorifies God! I will say that again incase you missed it: Hell glorifies God! I shall explain: for God to be a just God he has to punish sin and Hell is the place that God wrath is. Hell is for all those who are disobedient and who did not heed the call of the Lord. They get what they deserve, but Jesus took what the Christian deserved! Heaven is marvellous because it is a place where God wrath is not present and that is because sin is not present. And Hell is an incredible place because it shows Gods justice as well as his mercy to some.

Hell is all part of Gods plan of Salvation. And if you do not accept God then you will face that awful prospect of eternity in Hell and Hell really is a terrible place. God has placed his entire wrath on the whole of unbelieving mankind there, and they have to take it. It is not a place with red beasts with horns that play poker and prick you with their sticks - Hell is terrible! But for the believer that is in the past. At the last day God will welcome him into Heaven as part of the plan of salvation that God thought up as it were before the foundations of this world. Jesus suffered on that cross, yes indeed He suffered so greatly! He suffered even more than the criminals around him. Not only did he have the physical pain of the cross but he also had the mental anguish of suffering after a sinless life for a people who hated him. And then there was the worst one. The spiritual torture as he was separated from His Heavenly Father that He had been close to in an intimate way for the whole of eternity. His own loving father was releasing the wrath that was for mankind on Him on that cross. Sinner, you can know this personal relationship with a just God but will you accept it?

There are two possibilities here if you are an unbeliever! Either you can think that what we have been saying so far is a load of baloney, and if that is the case then  please let us know - and let us know why!

Or if you believe that there is a God, then you need to come to Him, and we can tell you how! A simple prayer of sorrowfullness for your sins and repentance is all it takes. God wants us to surrender our lives to Him  and there is no better time than now, if you are ready! This could be the most important decision you will ever make in your whole life! We have all been here before, us Christians - the road forks and you look at the signs: With God or Without God. Which road will you choose?

Do you want to find out the truth? Thats what we asked you at the start of all this and now you are half way through your search for it. You have overcome loads of obstacles the devil has put in your way just to get this far and there are more to come in the following pages! But I promise you at the end of the road marked Gods way there is Heaven which will be wonderful! At the end of the road marked Your own way is Hell. I promise you; the truth you will find at the end of your search is so amazing that you cannot afford to give up now! It is up to you - are you brave enough to face the truth? Are you courageous enough to do what is right and to do what will bring you forgiveness, a life of true joy and peace, and then ultimately, Heaven? Or are you a coward like the devil? Choose your road now.

That was Gods plan - the plan set before the foundations of the earth. There will be questions from here that will be addressed later on. And if your questions are not addressed then please do not hesitate to e-mail us. We do want to hear from you and we really do care. Lets move on and see how Gods plan is worked out in "Gods Plan Happens".
